29 Lessons From Travelling the World, by Benny Lewis via DailyGood

Twenty-one year old Benny Lewis took off from home to see the world. Eight years later and still on the road, he published 29 Lessons From Travelling the World.

The message reminds me immediately of Tim Ferriss' The 4-hour Work Week. Tim writes about freeing himself from the "9-5" culture of delayed gratification and saving for someday. Similarly, Benny has found ways to leverage technology and amplify his strengths in a series of completely lived-in moments.

29 Lessons from a 29-year old who has seen more of the world than most could ever even dream of, who has touched countless lives, and who has had plenty of jobs without ever having to go to a single staff meeting.

Worth a look and worthy of some deep, reflective thinking about the quality of life. Will I be happy when I get that degree, or that promotion, or that new car? Or will I learn, before it's too late, that life is like sheet music and we are meant to sing and dance.

Hat tip: Benny's story was originally published on his blog, Fluent in 3 Months, but I discovered it via Daily Good.
